Youtube 31 second audio clip

I am doing a 31 second audio clip I want to eventually upload to you tube.

it appears to be M4A file. I have titled the project, placed the file in my playlist.

It is now in the timeline and works fine.

do I add the background which will be a cropped photo on the shotcut app or will I do this after I upload to you tube?

Create another video track in the timeline. Drag your photo to this track. Drag the right end of the photo clip to make it the same length as your audio. Export to an .mp4 or other file type of your choice, and you are ready to upload to YouTube.
