Video cutting - format issue

Hi,

I have an issue with cutting an video with Shotcut: I have two MP4 Videos which I include to my Shotcut project. Both formats of the videos are 16:9 and 1920x1080 (full screen).
I use the export function with the correct settings of the format as written above but the outcome is, that the video is not full screen but with black areas above and on the sides. The original video is without these black areas.
I have tested different export settings without success. Does anybody has an idea how to solve this issue?

Two possibilities:

The source videos have a sample aspect ratio or display aspect ratio other than square pixels that is causing the video to be squished.

Or, the Video Mode (timeline resolution) is something other than 1920x1080:
