It seems lot’s of people had this same issue with no solution. I’m not sure if it is the computer which is the issue. i used to make video sin the past with movie maker and it did not take much time to export the video, honestly. I’m suspecting the reason is Shotcut himself. What other software is available so that exporting wouldn’t take such a long time? I honestly just need to put clips together and export. Has anyone made Shotcut work on themselves?

Video encoding (what is done when you export) is inherently complex and slow. We may be able to make suggestions to help you speed it up. But we will need more information. A good start would be:
- What is your project video mode?
- What are the properties of your source clips?
- How many tracks are you using?
- What filters are you using?
- What are your export settings?
