Which is a better driver for shotcut geforce gameready or geforce studio

Hi,

Nividia says geforce studio is a better driver to use for video editing, but I find that it runs out of memory when editing, but geforce gameready does not.

I tried searching the net, and the Shotcut forum, but found nothing on this.

I have just begun video editing, and bought a new asus Tuf Dash F15 with 16 gb ram and Nvidia geforece rtx 3060 6 gm vram.

The settings that I use for both are as under -
preview scaling 360 p, proxy with h264_nvenc.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there some setting I am missing?

One more thing, I find that when using the geforce studio driver, it does not pick up Shotcut to optimise, but does pick vlcc.

I am asking this question, just to ensure that I get the best out of my laptop.

All help will be gratefully accepted.

I suppose the answer is “try both and use whichever one works best for you”.

Thanks.

I was planning to do just that, but thought to check if someone already has an answer.
