Waveforms do not show in timeline

I’ve used Shotcut for 6 months with no troubles. Now the waveforms do not appear in my timeline like they did before. I have re-installed version 20.11.28 and my computer is running windows 10 64 bit. Yes I have verified that the show waveform option is checked. Also if I switch from player view to audio view the program crashes.

See the following thread. The newest version 21.01 has the new option I mentioned, but we still do not know if it solved anyone’s problem as we are unable to reproduce it. You should also avoid running more than one instance of shotcut.exe by checking in Windows Task Manager > Details sorted by name.

Windows What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit? Version 20.10.31 Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps? (Please be specific and use the names as seen in Shotcut, preferably English. Include a screenshot or screen recording if you can. Also, you can attach logs from either View > Application Log or right-click a job and choose View Log.)
