Unusual Export Fail with Parallel Processing disabled & Use hardware encoder enabled

I’m having problem with Export Fail.
It happened when I was heavily editing an audio [meaning cutting, moving snipets etc. but no filters, no transitions nothing]. It was immediately going to fail.

I researched everywhere.
The Parallel Processing is disabled.
Use hardware encored is enabled.
As per all online instructions.

I still can’t export. I even tried a different VERY simple project. 2 short videos with 2 transitions. NOTHING.
Gets stuck at 12/13% and doesnt move.

This is what I get: plugin_mgr_get_object_file_plugins: error opening shared object file ‘C:\Program Files\Shotcut\lib\ladspa/AUTHORS’: “C:\Program Files\Shotcut\lib\ladspa\AUTHORS”: The specified module could not be found.

Lots of people get problems when using the Hardware Encoder. Firstly I would switch this off and try exportng again.

Unfortunately that doesnt work either

Does it fail at the same place? If so calculate whereabouts that is in the clip (12% of the total length) and see if you have any filters that start/end around there. Try disabling these and see if they might be the cause of the problem.

I tried various projects.
The audio project I was editing failed straight away.
I thought that maybe because it was cut and adjusted in too many place to handle.
So I tried a very simple project.
Like 2 clips 10 seconds each with one or two transitions.
I tried few of these simple projects.
All fail at around 11/12/13 % mark.

Or they just freeze and don’t progress at all

When a project fails it will show the exact timecode where it failed.
This is displayed in the Jobs panel.
Timecode is Hours:Minutes:Seconds:Frames
firefox_2021-02-03_09-31-11

Find the filters associated with that timecode.

Other export failed solutions can be found in this post.

La dernière ligne de votre message mentionne qu’il ne peut pas ouvrir ce fichier.
Existe t’il vraiment à cet emplacement?
Quelles sont ses protections ou autorisations ?

The last line of your message mentions that it cannot open this file.
Does it really exist in this location?
What are its protections or permissions?

I am aware of this.
Though it doesn’t answer my question.
It basically fails/freezes at any edited part, which prevents basic usage.
I looked at that thread too but it doesn’t help really.

I’ve added to this post one of the logs of the simple project.
What any project seems to share in common is the:
This is what I get: plugin_mgr_get_object_file_plugins: error opening shared object file ‘C:\Program Files\Shotcut\lib\ladspa/AUTHORS’: “C:\Program Files\Shotcut\lib\ladspa\AUTHORS”: The specified module could not be found.
plugin_mgr_get_object_file_plugins: error opening shared object file ‘C:\Program Files\Shotcut\lib\ladspa/COPYING’: “C:\Program Files\Shotcut\lib\ladspa\COPYING”: The specified module could not be found.

I don’t really know what that means though.

Those messages are normal - don’t worry about them.

Are you using the latest version of Shotcut? Since it seems to be happening on several projects, some of them simple, have you tried re-installing Shotcut with the option to recreate registry items?

I tried it yesterday though dont think I did with the recreate registry items option.

So now I tried this but upon the reinstallment there was no such option

I checked the original failed audio file and indeed it shows as Exist Code 1 so maybe the melt.exe is blocked? Not sure even how to unblock it

Though the simple project doesn’t show any exist codes all it shows is this as last 2 lines:

h264 @ 000000000488a280] Reinit context to 1280x720, pix_fmt: yuv420p

[swscaler @ 00000000097ef8c0] Warning: data is not aligned! This can lead to a speed loss

I think it might have been my AVG antivirus that blocked something.
I uninstalled it and shotcut is back to normal.

Thank you!
All the threads I’ve been digging into have finally made me realise it mightve been the antivirus.

It’s good you finally got it to work.
