Unable to Further Scroll Down the Timeline

I’m trying to move the timeline down further in the window. When I grab the “…” handles, I can move it up and down … but down only to a certain point. There’s still a lot of gray area. I abhor empty space. Is there a way I can move the timeline down as much as I want?

I found this post about a kind of related issue. But the other way around.

Basically, this user’s video shows the timeline too far down for their tastes. So it seems possible. It’s just that I can’t do that. Or don’t know how.

It has a minimum height.

Is there a way I can move the timeline down as much as I want?

Modify the source code, or remove the track and close the Timeline. If you are only using 1 track with no transitions; you do not need Timeline and can use the Playlist instead.
