Hi I love shotcut and all but I am trying to make a project and when I insert a video into the timeline it just crashes. Any help with this?
What version of Shotcut are you using?
Have you worked OK with it in the past, but it is problem with just this one video file?
If yes, open the file in the Source player, use Properties > menu > Convert to Edit-friendly…, wait for the job to finish, double-click the completed job to open the converted file, and then put it into the timeline.
If not try changing Display Method in the Settings menu:
