Sharpening filter use

I understand the sharpening filter amount function. But I am not sure about the size function. Should I increase the size as I increase the amount? or leave it be?

I usually set both to the same value.

Thank you. That is what I have been doing. I experimented with several settings and did not see much difference when I adjusted the size.
