Reverse and Sub-Clip STILL not working in version 19.02.28

Well, from my previous topic Reverse and Extract sub-clip in 18.12.23 not working

I have a wmv file, and I had that problem before, where I had to go to the properties and change it from track 1 (mjpeg) to track 2 (wmv3).

I waited for a fix, but no one ever fixed this. I have the exact same problem that I always dealt with. Here are the logs from the reverse:

So with all this, I'm guessing that wmv files aren't compatible with shotcut?

I have it from a zip file, and I unzipped it. I wonder if that’s why. I will try the windows installer method.

The log messages suggest that Shotcut is having a difficult time with your source file. Would you be willing to share your source file so that I can try to debug it?

What do you mean source file? The MLT? The raw video footage? Or the program itself?

D:\Kien\HDD\My Videos\how to be gangsta.wmv

Here it is. Try downloading it maybe. This is the only way I know of to share the video.

It works. It just does not work for every format and file out there and probably never will. And just because you post a bug does not mean someone will fix it before the next release or ever. Do not feel entitled because no one is accountable.

Oh, I almost forgot. This failure is due to album art appearing as 90000 fps in ffmpeg. I already made a fix for this for the next version 19.04.x due by the end of the month.

Thank you for making a fix to this. I will be very happy for this new release.

For a wmv file, there are 2 video tracks in the “Properties” menu. You told me to change the video track to 2 (the one that says wmv3). Now I realize that the first track (MJPEG) says 90,000 fps.

I can still do some really basic functions with wmv for the meantime until the fix.

Just curious on why MJPEG is showing 90,000 fps. This is obviously not true, just why would wmv show up as 90,000. Is there anything related to 90,000 fps, or was that an error?

I did set the track number to 2 for all the functions nonetheless.

Ok I tested out with mp4 and reverse and sub-clip does work, but when I choose the lossy format (mp4) it is soundless.

The MOV format works wonderfully for mp4 videos, but it just takes up 37 MB for a 1 second video. Its data rate is 289mbps and the total bitrate is 290mbps. Wonder if that’s how its supposed to work.
