Il s’avère que j’aurai désiré reprendre certaines photos.
J’ai bien ouvert avec Shotcut ma vidéo diaporama mais n’y parvient pas.

Voici ce que je comprend de votre explication:
- À une certaine époque, vous avez créé un diaporama avec Shotcut et exporté en format vidéo.
- Plus tard, vous avez importé la vidéo dans Shotcut
- Vous tentez de récupérer les photos originales à partir de la vidéo.

J’ai exporté ma vidéo diaporama avec Shotcut en MP4.
Quand je la réouvre avec Shotcut, je n’y arrive pas !

Lorsque Shotcut a exporté votre diaporama, il a traité le contenu de votre projet pour ensuite créer et enregistrer la vidéo sur votre ordinateur. Mais il ne peux pas faire l’inverse.
C’est un peu comme si vous demandiez à votre four de dé-cuire un gâteau.
Par contre, si vous ne les avez pas supprimées, vos photos originales devraient toujours être quelque part sur votre disque dur.
When Shotcut exported your slideshow, it processed the content of your project and then created and saved the video to your computer. But it can’t do the reverse.
It’s a bit like asking your oven to unbake a cake.
On the other hand, if you haven’t deleted them, your original photos should still be somewhere on your hard drive.

Si je peux me permettre une dernière question :
Sur ma vidéo non ouverte, il y paraît une photo qui n’est pas la 1ère de ma liste mais quand je visionne la vidéo l’ordre est bien respecté. Peut-être rien d’anormal mais ce n’est pas grave du tout.

On my unopened video, there appears a photo that is not the 1st in my list but when I view the video the order is well respected. Maybe there is nothing wrong with it but it’s not serious at all.

Vous voulez sans doute parler de la vignette (thumbnail) de la video qui apparait dans vos dossier
Comme la plupart des vidéos commencent par des images vides, la vignette est choisie plus loin dans la vidéo. Donc, il est normal que la vignette que vous voyez ne soit pas la première photo de votre diaporama. Il y a des moyens pour choisir la vignette vous même. Une simple recherche sur Google vous montrera comment faire.
You probably mean the thumbnail of the video that appears in your folders.
As most videos start with empty frames, the thumbnail is chosen later in the video. So it is normal that the thumbnail you see is not the first picture in your slideshow. There are ways to choose the thumbnail yourself. A simple Google search will show you how.
Let me offer a slight amendment to the excellent reply from @MusicalBox: you can’t recover the original photos from your video, but you can export frames from your video.
With any modern digital camera, the original pictures are probably much larger in resolution, and that will have been reduced to the resolution of the video. For example, my DSLR takes pictures with a resolution of 5184 x 3456 pixels. If I produce an HD slideshow, these pictures will be reduced (and cropped) to 1920 x 1080 pixels. I cannot now get the original 5184 x 3456 pixel picture back from the video.
What I can do is to bring the video into Shotcut, move the playhead to a place where a picture is showing in the video, and export that frame (File->Export Frame). I will get a 1920 x 1080 pixel picture. This will not match the quality of the original … but it might be good enough for what I need.
If you want to get a bit extreme, you can have Shotcut export the whole video as a series of individual frames - but this can produce an overwhelming number of files!
