Multi-select clips via ctrl-shift-arrow

Disclaimer: I see this is not addressed in the current roadmap.

Problem: Sometimes, given a zoom, clips are too narrow to multi-select by shift-clicking each one.

Suggestion: Since shift is already used for multi-selection, and ctrl-arrow for moving clip selection, it’d be useful if we could multi-select adjacent clips via shift-ctrl-arrow.

Good Idea, and adding “Shift + Ctrl + Space” to add clip under playhead to current clip selection, would be nice too.

Shift click is for a range. That means beginning and end - not each one - and you can extend the end. However, yes, it can be difficult to click a narrow slice depending on the zoom level. The workaround for now is to zoom in. And you do not need to file a suggestion for this as it already exists somewhere in the thousands of suggestions: rectangle lasso selection.

Hey, mein Leader, why are you pushing back on suggestions? They are for your benefit. I did search for it before posting it, and did not see it suggested before. Apparently, @TimLau did not see it either, and welcomed the suggestion. Your suggested search did not yield any results either (other than this very thread). It’s up to developers to compile and prioritise suggestions, not users. Sounds like you feel overwhelmed by the positive feedback to your product. Take breather to bask in your glory

These suggestions all sound the same as yours.

Do they? So a keyboard shortcut “sounds the same” as drawing a rectangle with the mouse to you? Ok then.

And here you did it as well.
