There have been problems like yours with Software Manager versions. You could try the portable version and see if that works. See here:

I’m using 0.10.0, the default version for Linux Mint 18.3. I solved my issue uninstalling from software manager and downloading the portable version instead. I wonder whether it will automatically upgrade or I need to manually download the latest version at every release. Anyway thanks for your answer.
