Question

How to zoom in not as filter, but to magnify details for editing in Player for better precision?

The usual shortcuts in other media editing apps are [ctrl]+[+] or [ctrl]+[scroll up].

Is this even a feature? Maybe I’m searching it wrong, and it isn’t called “magnify” or “zoom”?

It’s not “Scaling” either, because “Scaling” refers to preview output quality & is a software performance feature.

There are no main menu items or keyboard shortcuts for it yet, but there is a tooltip and the button is always showing. After zooming in you can use middle mouse button to scroll or the scroll bars, of course.

Hi @tsilvs

Use the Toggle Zoom button in the player’s menu

:open_mouth: I didn’t know that one. Thanks!

It works! Thanks, @shotcut

You can also use middle mouse button to scroll the timeline.

Gosh, so you can! Terrific! :sunglasses:
