How to set length of images to 1/2 second?

I find no way to set the project at any frame rate.

Settings>Video Mode
I chose HD 1080p 60fps

Then import my image, drag to the timeline and drag to 00:00:00:30 (½ sec)

Subsequent images can then be ‘split’ at 00:00:00:30 (½ sec)

If you want a sequence of images all at 00:00:00:30 (½ sec), follow kenj69’s post for setting default duration.

Slideshow Procedure

This procedure will allow you to change the Duration of photos as you are building a slideshow. Start with NO photos in the Playlist. Import a photo. Select + in the Playlist to add to Playlist - Duration is whatever Shotcut had last time. Double-click photo in Playlist so it is highlighted in the Source Player. Select Properties tab. Edit Duration and click Set Default. Select Playlist and click the checkmark (Update). Shotcut shows desired Duration. Select + in Timelin…
