How Do I Make Motion Blur?

I am trying to make motion blur when there is a lot of movement in my clip but nothing on the internet show me how i can do it. Does anyone know how to do it?

That thread is outdated because from those prototype filters, official ones were created (i.e. Trails, Nervous, Choppy, Vertigo).

@JustADeer, it depends on what kind of motion blur you want to do but experiment with the Trails filter and see if that suits your needs.

The transition does create a type of motion blur, which I and many call directional blur.
