How to fix audio?

Hello there,
I am creating a project for my class in Shotcut with my friends. They all sent me a lot of clips and I have put them together in Shotcut. The problem is that all the clips have different volume and are taken in different environments.

• How do adjust the volume and make it equal for all the clips?
• How do I maintain uniform volume so that the program is audible on all devices like smartphones, laptops, etc?

The term you are looking for is “normalize”. Another useful term is “compression”. Both of those are also audio filters in Shotcut. Here is an old thread that talks about the normalize filters that are available.
