Help about audio delay more 2 sec

hi everybody, my first thread here.
i have download a serie, 10 ep, but some ep have audio delay more than 2 sec
i’ve already read some threads here, like this one The audio clips are delayed by 2 seconds - #2 by Johnny_Debt but nothing work for me.
my video is 1 video track and just 1 audio track. also i’ve extract stream audio and video, load video into shotcut, go to timeline, but on load audio track i get not adding non-seekable file

my goal is load video and audio and with arrow keys left and right (or mouse) move audio track to find the right alignment with the video (because tried with VLC with J-K but impossible for me to find the correct value…)

My last reply in the thread you linked to provides all of the advice I would simply repeat here. To convert a file that you cannot add to the timeline simply open it in the Source viewer in Shotcut and then go to Properties and click Convert.

it’s me who doesn’t understand you or way around?
i’ve read your answer in the topic linked but:

  • on first case ‘Convert to Edit-friendly’ don’t solve my problem;
  • on second case, ‘Audio > Sync’ it’s just for less than 1 sec (my video about 2sec), so isn’t my situation;
  • on third case, mine, with a delay more than 1 second, ‘Detach Audio’ does not work, like also not work load video and add audio (see my first post, not adding non-seekable file).

so, what did i miss along the way?

If you just drag the original video in Shotcut does it work? including audio?
If it works you don’t need to extract the audio/video in an external tool (your non seekable source is probably related to this, you took the audio in some raw format like .aac without metadata), you can just do the Detach audio on the original clip in Shotcut’s timeline then you are free to move the audio clip left/right as needed.

yes, load video and audio

wonderful. this is what i would like… but how to detach audio?? with mouse click left or right in timeline just move to selected frame. i don’t know how to detach audio …
look shot of my Shotcut here: https://i.postimg.cc/qvvBZ3x5/shot-01.png

Press “A” to put the video in the timeline (or drag it by mouse) then you can right click it there and there’s going to be a “Detach audio” option.

Also quick tip after you do this: you can move the selected clip (video or audio) by one frame using . and , keys if you need extra precision (you might need first to use the mouse for big corrections).

oohh wonderful. finally i’ve understand how to. a BIG thank you mate
just no understand on press , or . i get Nudge backward is not available
and same with . for forward …

Do not use an external site for images. Upload or paste them directly here. For this reason, the forum software thinks you might be posting spam.

oh nice to know. thanks
just edit now my prev post !

Nudge can’t go further than the first or last clip in your timeline but because you have only one clip there’s “no space” before or after it. Just add some random color clip or image after your video and it should let you nudge it. You can delete it when you’re done moving. Manual mouse drag should always work though.

ok i will keep it for the future. anyway just move audio with mouse and created a space then it works also , and . !
great, i would say that the thread can be considered solved.
thanks to everybody, wonderful forum. greetings
