hi there, found audio delay (see my prev post Help about audio delay more 2 sec - #11 by w8ub6blw) now need to export video. but i only see export with new encoding, i don’t see just copy only for audio/video … no way for that ?
also: saved project as .mlt the audio value delay is that one ? 2.27099 seconds. i need to know this value because for me it’s very easy to do with ffmpeg without re-encoding, if shotcut can’t
Not available
the audio value delay is that one ? 2.27099 seconds
No, that is the timeline zoom.
Not available, yes understood. sad. i think is useful for more users and i hope in some next release of Shotcut this option is soon available
and ok 2.27 is timeline zoom. no way to see delay audio ?
It will never be available.
If you synced the audio by moving the clips by some number of frames, you would need to figure out the correct “in” and “out” properties in the XML. I am not going to do that for you. Otherwise, you can simply count the frame offset in the UI.
Alternatively you could create a ranged marker - as the marker edges easily snap to clip edges (M to create marker, ctrl + click & drag on marker edges to resize/move them).
But if you haven’t used markers before the fastest is to just move the playhead to the 2 places (alt+left/right arrow to snap exactly) and substract the 2 times shown in the current time area.
the title thread is Export without rencoding and dev he says it never will be. sad (again). because on some case is useful just -copy only
about daniel47 hint, for me alt+right arrow go to end of video, and alt+left arrow go to the first video frame …
This is often requested but basically impossible to implement and would only work in a very very few special cases and 90% of those cases are already covered by Export sub-clip.
For your case you can export audio only and then merge this new audio with the original video directly in ffmpeg. You need to make sure the lengths match by cutting either the extra bit at start or end of your synced audio.
This should work the same for the audio clip if it was detached.

and right, i’ve already working command for ffmpeg (without rencoding): ffmpeg -hide_banner -i video.mp4 -itsoffset 1.85 -i video.mp4 -map 0:v -map 1:a -c:v copy -c:a copy video2.mp4
just i need to find right audio delay value (not easy to find on VLC with J-K keys…). due to this i’ve discover app like Shotcut
