The ZIP file contains 25 files. 24 filter set files (1 for each of the Video Modes), and an audio file of the sound effect you heard in the demo.
The audio file is 1-second long, so it matches the length of the transition and the peaks of the sound are synchronized with the animation. Just snap it under the transition clip.
How to install a filter set:
Download the ZIP file and un-zip it.
In Shotcut, go to Settings > App Data Directory > Show
If you don’t see a filter-sets folder, create one (use that exact name).
Open the filter-sets folder.
Move the un-zipped filter set file(s) of your choice in that folder.
Close and re-launch Shotcut.
Your new filter set(s) should be visible in Filters > Sets
How to use:
Create a 1-second transition between 2 clips. Preferably on track V1
Select the transition clip.
Go to the Properties panel.
Choose the Cut option, and set Position at 50%
Go to Filters > Sets
Select the Flip-Horizontal filter set.
Notes:
I have set background behind the animation to black.
If you want to use a different color, edit the Background Color parameter of the Size, Position & Rotate filter
If the transition is on any other track than track V1, AND
if there is content (video, image, color clip) directly below the transition, you will need to set the Background Color parameter to transparent (Alpha channel = 0)
Hello,
I do not understand something, please:
If I unzip this filter-set into a folder and move it to the program’s location (as instructed) as a folder, when looking for this filter-set, I do not see anything.
If I move all the files from the unzipped file, opening the (filter) ‘sets’ in the program, I see all the files.
To use this filter I select only one of them ?
Answers will be appreciated.
Thanks
Motim
Each of the files in the ZIP (except the double-woosh.wav audio file) is a filter set.
Each one is made for a specific Video Mode.
Move only the one(s) you need.
As an example, if you only create 1080p 30fps projects, move only the TRANS_MB__Flip-Horizontal_1-sec_Cut-50pc_1080p_30fps file in the App Data Directory > filter-sets folder.
Hi @Sandra_Leigh
I made 1080x1920 versions for these 3 frame rates: 24fps, 30fps and 60fps
If you use a different frame rate and none of these work properly, just tell me.
Thank you. But mine is not working. When I play the video, the first half of the transition is perfect but then the second half flies off the screen upper left. Any ideas?
Make sure you made the transition long enough. The duration should be exactly one second. It could be longer I guess but it can’t be shorter than 1 second.
Make sure you use the version of the filter set that matches the frame rate and dimensions of your project.
