Instead of sharing a capture of this blank Shotcut window, it would be more helpful to see Shotcut when it tells you that it failed to open your file(s)

You used % in the name of the folder.
Not sure if there is an easy fix, but that is the problem.
I can duplicate.

Shotcut 22.04.25
I renamed a file folder with % in between letters.
Shotcut will not open any MLT.
I think this has come up before.
