What is your operating system?
7-10’ Geforce 2600
What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit?
21.08.29 portable apps 64bit
Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
Very strange bug. It appears after some time I use shotcut. So when I drag and drop a video, from playlist, to Timeline, the video deployed inside timeline is not the one that I have selected. It is another.
It did not appears at the first times, It start doing so after some previous drag and drop and video working.
I don’t know if there is some garbage data that remains in memory and the dragged video is not the selected one, but another. No logic in that.
Saving, restarting shotcut and repeating the operations resolve the problem.
thanks

What I mean is that I drag 1 of 50 files from playlist but shotcut put in timeline a wrong and not selected video file. This appears sometimes, with no logic to me. Maybe garbage during drag operation from PLAYLIST.
Playlist also have internal drag-n-drop to rearrange the items. Maybe, after a rearrange or after adding some files in the middle of the playlist, the drag-n-drop to TIMELINE results in wrong operation.
I ignore the strange process you wrote.
bye
The problem you describe looks like it’s caused by the same bug I reported.
Try the workaround I proposed in the bug report. This should confirm if it is the same bug or not.
And allow you to work with this version until the new version is released.
Bye
