I often use fade-in, fade-out filters for inserting text. I normally want them to fade from transparent to opaque instead of “fade with black”. So i have to remember to set this in all filters for each fade-in and fade-out. Wouldn’t it be helpful to set individual default values for those filter settings - there might be a lot of other parameters in other filters as well.

I think the natural expected behavior would be “adjust opacitiy” as this is normally what is understood by “fading in or out”. Anyway, in general it would be nice to set some default values to personal preference - is there a way for that?
