Hi @robmason There may be better ways to do it, but this is how I do it. My phone takes 3840 x 2160 videos. First make sure Settings > Video Mode is not on Automatic. Use a setting of your choice, 1920x1080 at 30fps for example. Then import your video in Shotcut. When you move it to the t…

Thanks! I would have assumed that step 2 would result in the 2k video clip being downsampled to 1080, but I’ll give this method a try.

After you import your video, select it and go to the Property tab. You’ll see that it’s still full resolution.

This filter will always resample the video. It is better to use Crop: Source with the Center option for this task if you want to purely crop the extra pixels.
