Contour Shuttle Xpress Editing Tool Template

I have already made a post about this (Contour ShuttleXpress Preset) but the diagram needed updated and the download link no longer worked.

The Contour Shuttle Xpress is a neat little peripheral that lets you assign five buttons and two dials to anything you want for any program.

You can buy a Shuttle here: Amazon.com here: Shuttle Xpress - Multimedia Controller for Editors or here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/697104-REG

There is no preset for Shotcut, but don’t worry, you can download one with the link below! Here is a diagram showing what actions my preset assigns to each button.

Of course you can change the buttons to do whatever you want with the configuration software (which you can download here: Drivers – Download Software for Contour Design Products scroll down the page)

Just download this file, and import it into the Shuttle Configuration software

Import

I hope this helps someone! Happy editing!

Yes I was aware of that page! That’s what inspired me to make a post specifically for the ShuttleXpress. Could you perhaps include a download for the .pref file and diagram for the ShuttleXpress on that page aswell?

Thank you BobBanana for sharing this! I was banging my head trying to convert the ShuttlePro settings for the ShuttleExpress. I second the request to include the download link and diagram in the Shotcut documentation - that would have saved me some time for sure. Thanks for putting your time into creating this.

Hello Chris, I am so glad I was able to help you!

Enjoy your shuttle, and happy editing!

Hello again,

I update to driver 3.1 for the ShuttleXpress in a (so far) futile attempt to get it to work with DaVinci Resolve, and the new driver no longer has a prefs folder - we need to manually enter to keyboard shortcuts through their dodgy software. Might it be possible for you to please post the keystrokes used in your custom pref file? I guess users might also be interested to have the keystrokes for the Shuttle Pro as well, so that users can comment on any keystrokes that might have changed or are misbehaving.

I tried Roger Leitch´s template, with mixed results:

Next frame Left Arrow works, but Right Arrow moves the timeline, not the playhead. Arrow keyboard keys work fine.

+,- move the timeline, but not continuously despite various entry options.

Thanks!
