Changing the source location

Hello,

I want to change the path of a used mp4-source e.g. vid1.mp4. At first I used a trial-directory for testing. But now I will use the original source directory. vid1.mp4 is there also located and it´s identical to the first used file. Now I should only change the path in shotcut, but I didn´t find a way to do this.

In the meantime I found 2 not so beauty solutions for the problem:

  1. I renamed the vid1.mp4 to vid1_.mp4, so shotcut didn´t find the file and asked for the location, where I can use the other location.
  2. Editing the *.mlt-file where the whole path of each file is includet

But both ways are not smart.

  1. Save your project.
  2. Close Shotcut.
  3. Move the source file to a new location.
  4. Open Shotcut and select your project.
  5. Follow the dialog box to point to the new location.
