Brightness on the track below a clip with transparency

What is your Shotcut version? 25.12.31

(Not sure if it was present on previous versions)

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?

Steps

  • Add clip on track V1
  • Apply a Brightness filter.
  • Lower the level
  • Add a clip with transparency on track V2

The brightness of the clip on V1 changes when the Playhead reaches the clip on V2.

I reproduced this in 8-bit Processing Mode only and with either PNG with alpha or a text clip. It is also specific to the Brightness filter. Workarounds are to use the Color Grading, Hue/Lightness/Saturation, or Levels filter.
