I just reproduced (1) on my other PC. My steps were incomplete.

After changing the bit depth and sample rate, instead of selecting Settings> Realtime once:

  1. Select Settings > Realtime twice.
  2. Wait for 3 to 6 seconds. Then click anywhere in Shotcut once.
