I’m recording my video on a cam and recording my audio on my phone. I synch them but when I have to edit the video I have to edit the sound track after being sure that I do it correctly, it would be great if there was a way to edit the 2 tracks at the same time. Does someone know if it’s possible ?

It’s unclear what you mean, exactly?
I have 2 separate tracks,: a video one with the image from my cam and an audio one with the audio of that I recorded separately. I put them both on shotcut, I sych them, but If I have to cut 20 sec from the video track I have to do it after on the audio track too and be sure that I cut exactly the same quantity of seconds to not be desynchronize after so it would be great it I could work on both track at the same time.
Is it clearer ?
OK, that’s what I thought you mean’t.
Though not all tracks can be split at the same time, it’s quite straight forward - I do this all the time.
Once the video track and audio track are synced, position the playhead at the point of the split, then without touching the playhead again just click each track at a time to highlight it and press ‘S’. Nothing is de-synchronized so long as the playhead position isn’t changed.
So long as ‘Snapping’ is enabled, Removing the split section isn’t a problem either as each track will snap to the left and remain in sync. I do this numerous times every weekend with the footage I shoot at our music club and everything remains perfectly in sync every time.
