Five years ago I started this channel with less than 300 subscribers and no video editing background — just a regular person who couldn’t find good Shotcut tutorials and decided to make some. No sponsors, no brand deals. Just videos.
In this video I’m sharing what YouTube paid me for one of my very first tutorials — not to brag, but to show fellow Shotcut users that even a small channel like mine can earn something. And more than the money, what really got me was the watch time. I think you’ll find it encouraging.
Great video, Ben - you deserve all the success you get! Your videos are a real boon for Shotcut users. And thanks for the shoutout, BTW - that is so nice of you to give a nod to the many regular users on the forum who help out with others - and not to mention Dan and Brian who’s expertise and dedication knows no bounds! It really is a great community, isn’t it?
Personally, I’ve been busy with a few other things over the past months, so I haven’t been as active on here as I would like, but I still learn such a lot from this forum and check in daily.
I’m pretty much honoured to call you a friend, Ben! keep up the good work!
@bentacular thank you for all the help you have provided me on my shotcut / youtube journey. your video on how to make your own luts was quite beneficial. looking forward to more future videos!
