U guys are Awesome! I just wanted to know what your motivation, your reasoning behind offering such a great piece of software for free. Do you get paid in other ways? Ad revenues? If so, I will continue to check your website and news and subscribe to your channels. Thanks!

I think everyone has their own reasons. We are all volunteers. I do it because I use Shotcut and I enjoy it.
There are some paid ads on some of the Shotcut webpages that help to pay the hosting bills. But nobody is rich from Shotcut. If you want to show your support, the best way is to disable your ad blocker for all *.shotcut.org domains. Also, sharing your knowledge and experience with others (either here on the forum, or via youtube, etc) is a good way to help out.
