What is the best way to do random movements?

What is the best way to do those random movements? Like what you see in youtube intros or lots of memes. My current way of doing this is doing each move in sections, but that doesn’t look great. I’m debating just taking a video of my cursor moving and using the motion tracking.

There are some shake presets in the Size, Position & Rotate filter. If you need to shake more than one 1 second, you can either see the keyframes it creates and add more, or you can split the clip and add it to each sub-clip.
