Vignette filter

Hi,

I was wondering if it’s possible to use the vignette tool to create a kind of harder edged crop using an oval shape with feathered edges? That would be a nice time saver if you could do it in Shotcut. When I tried it, the result was an image with lots of shadow. It didn’t look pretty.

Maybe my definition of vignette is a bit wonky and it’s a case of user error.

You could try the mask filter.
