I have the new macbook air and when I drag the videos from my Library folder into the playlist or timeline they appear as an image and can’t be played. The format of the videos is mov. Each time I drag them in a get a message saying “video exported as an image. Export to disk to retain video file.”
That seems to be an issue with how Mac imports videos. See here:
