Is it possible to change a setting that allows me to set a default bit rate? We use Shotcut regularly but reduce the bit rate each time to reduce file size.
It would be useful if we didn’t have to manually change this each time but could reset the default value to one of our choosing.

Add a custom export preset: Make your changes in Export Advanced mode and click the + button below the list of presets. When you remove lines like width, height, and aspect, then the preset is adaptive to the current options. IOW, the preset defines what will be changed when you click on it. It is not always obvious what these things mean and how they map to the UI unless you are an ffmpeg expert. If all you want to save is the Rate Control=Average and Bitrate, then the only line you need to keep is “vb=…:”
