Video is laggy and audio is very choppy

When I view a video on shotcut the audio and video are not synced and the audio is very choppy. I have reinstalled shortcut multiple times. I use the zip version because I cant use the installer. Please help.
Computer specs.
Processor: Intel core I5-1035G1(4 core)
Graphics: Intel UHD
Ram: 8 GB ( 7.76 GB usable)
