Updating shotcut from inside of shotcut itself

I was wondering if it’s possible to add a system where if shotcut detects a newer version is available, you can press on the button saying there’s a new version and then it can take you to a window showing the download button for shotcut. I know shotcut gets its money from ads on the site so maybe ads can be placed on the window that shows the download progress. When you download the shotcut installer, it can automatically run you through the process of selecting “replace old files” in the installer and pressing next and continue for everything. I don’t think this will ever be a thing but I thought I’d throw it out there for anyone who wants to work on it.

i know but instead of having to go to the website you can just do it from inside of shotcut. Like downloading the update inside of shotcut instead of having to go to another browser.
