Uneven Audio Channels When Importing Sounds

Been trying to include some sounds for use in my videos but I’ve noticed that they’re always louder on the left than they are on the right. They seem even when I play them through Audacity or VLC media player, too…

How do I fix this problem? I want the sounds to play evenly in both ears.

Use the Audio Peak Meter to visualize the difference between the channels.

You can use the Balance or the Pan filters to adjust the levels across the channels.
