Unable to add a video to playlist

What is your operating system?
|Wersja|Windows 11 Pro N| 64-BIT
|Version|21H2|

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit?
22.06.23

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
After fresh install to Windows 11 from Windows 10 I can no longer add clips to “Playlist”(which is an active tab) by:

  • drag-and-drop - cursor changes to “prohibit” when over Shotcut (“playlist” or other places")
  • “Plus” button under the playlist. Button does “click” animation but nothing happens
  • “Add file to playlist” opens a window but selecting a .mp4 file does nothing.
  • “Open file” results in an error. Details below.
> [Debug  ] <MainWindow::openVideo> QFlags<QFileDialog::Option>()
> [Debug  ] <MainWindow::open> "G:/Wideo/Egipt/2021-09-20/Wideo/videoName.MP4"
> [Info   ] <MainWindow::showStatusMessage> "Failed to open G:/Wideo/Egipt/2021-09-20/Wideo/videoName.MP4"

I tried running application in administrator mode with no effect.
I’m doing exactly the same things as I did every day before the upgrade.
I tried reinstalling Shotcut few times.

My bet is on a missing software/codec/VS Redistributable after fresh install?

Edit:
With version 22.04.25 drag-and-drop doesn’t show “prohibit” but videos are not added to the playlist nonetheless.

This makes me wonder Shotcut is not able to read your file. Perhaps the new install of Windows 11 does not like you to keep your video files in G:/Wideo/Egipt/.

Have you tried moving the files onto your desktop?
Have you tried to open a different file from another location?

The plus button ads the clip that is open in the source player to the playlist. The button will not do anything if you do not already have a clip open in the source player.

I have managed to solve my issue. Windows 11 N lacks “Media Feature Pack” optional functionality which has to be installed manualy.
