What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit?
Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
After fresh install to Windows 11 from Windows 10 I can no longer add clips to “Playlist”(which is an active tab) by:
- drag-and-drop - cursor changes to “prohibit” when over Shotcut (“playlist” or other places")
- “Plus” button under the playlist. Button does “click” animation but nothing happens
- “Add file to playlist” opens a window but selecting a .mp4 file does nothing.
- “Open file” results in an error. Details below.
> [Debug ] <MainWindow::openVideo> QFlags<QFileDialog::Option>() > [Debug ] <MainWindow::open> "G:/Wideo/Egipt/2021-09-20/Wideo/videoName.MP4" > [Info ] <MainWindow::showStatusMessage> "Failed to open G:/Wideo/Egipt/2021-09-20/Wideo/videoName.MP4"
I tried running application in administrator mode with no effect.
I’m doing exactly the same things as I did every day before the upgrade.
I tried reinstalling Shotcut few times.
My bet is on a missing software/codec/VS Redistributable after fresh install?
With version 22.04.25 drag-and-drop doesn’t show “prohibit” but videos are not added to the playlist nonetheless.
