Hi there, having an issue where while in the middle of editing a video the UI’s text sizes became really large and I can’t seem to restore this even after uninstalling shotcut and trying various settings. Does anybody have a clue on how to restore this back to normal?

Just a thought - are you on a laptop on which the default font size is set to 125% ? You can check by settings>system>display.
Yup, it was 125% before this issue occurred however.
Try closing Shotcut and opening it again, or changing the system font size to 100%.
What happens if you c;ick on the menu item: View->Layout->Restore Default Layout
