Can someone pretty pretty please help me? I’m working on a video on Shotcut and it’s giving me a hard time with transitions. I put transitions between Image A and Image B. Despite that, Image A didn’t dissolve into Image B.
What I expected: Image A > Image B
What I got: Image A >Image B on top of Image A.
In other words, it overlapped. I tried everything to fix it! I tried deleted the transition. I tried deleted the images and readding them into the timeline. Nothing I did every worked! Will I ever get this problem solved? Will someone help me? If I don’t get this mixed, I will have no choice but to cancel transitions or worse, cancel my video!
Then let’s make sure you create your transition properly This is one way to create a transition:
Next let’s make sure you didn’t change the property of the transition. If the transition type is set to Cut, you’ll get a result as the the one you describe:
Maybe you use PNG images with transparent parts in them? Like in the example below:
That’s what I was doing now, just staring at a 4 hour video to get exported. But that calmness couldn’t last long, because I was about just create the same type of topic to get a solution for working on that video next day, and I would have been staying calm until tomorrow, if you didn’t posted the solution here. Now I have to make the transitions. Damn…
It reminds me of the phrase Don’t Panic on the cover of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy The novel explains that this was partly because the device “looked insanely complicated” to operate, and partly to keep intergalactic travellers from panicking. “It is said that despite its many glaring (and occasionally fatal) inaccuracies, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy itself has outsold the Encyclopedia Galactica because it is slightly cheaper, and because it has the words ‘DON’T PANIC’ in large, friendly letters on the cover.”
