Transition motion blur between moving images (How to remove?)

Hi, tried to fix this issue myself but can’t figure it out…
making a animated scrolling score-video, and there is one transition in the video to reflect a improvised note by the performer… however since it is animated sideways with keyframes, the transition is blurry, and it looks very distracting and ugly, needs to be fixed otherwise this video can’t be completed.
Example below…

Hi @ineedhelp - seems to me that your 2 pngs, scroll.png and insert.png must be very slightly different (in size), or maybe the scrolling is slightly different for the two pngs, and because the transition is creating a fade, that creates the blurriness. Have you tried not having the transition, just going from the two pngs with a cut?

@ineedhelp, I just tried to create something similar. I did it as follows:

PNG 1 on V1, keyramed to 1) zoom and 2) move left.
PNG 2 on V2 - COPY keyframes from PNG 1, then split at a point on the clip to reveal the amended note of PNG 1.
On V3 is a red colour clip, with SPR filter applied, plus an opacity filter.

It’s just a short demo. I didn’t get the red line central!
Maybe this is more like what you were hoping for?

I had the same idea, with an opacity filter from 0 to 100 on V2.

@SergeC - looks good. Great idea to keyframe the opacity filter.

Ça a l’air bien. Excellente idée d’utiliser des images clés pour le filtre d’opacité.

This works, but it eliminates the transition unfortunately.
Just need to remove the motion blur, somehow.

Thank you SergeC… and jonray, you had the right idea.

@jonray, I’m glad to share the Solution with you.

My pleasure, @ineedhelp. And to make it slightly easier you could just add a fade-in to the clip on V2 instead of keyframing the opacity:
Scrolling music demo

Me too - great teamwork!

@ineedhelp - PS your Zelenka videos are a great asset to music historians - congratulations!

Thank you - now I can continue with my work (except for another issue, but that is not Shotcut’s problem…)
Cheerio.
