Title: 2nd Size, Position, and Rotation Filter Doesn't Follow Motion Tracker Vertically in 9:16 Ratio

I’m encountering an issue with the 9:16 aspect ratio. When I set the video mode to 1080x1920 with a 9:16 aspect ratio and apply a motion tracker filter, the first Size, Position, and Rotation filter follows the motion tracker correctly. However, when I add a second Size, Position, and Rotation filter for zooming, it only stabilizes the horizontal position and does not follow the vertical position.

Here are the steps I’ve taken:

  • Set the video mode to 1080x1920 with a 9:16 aspect ratio.
  • Applied a motion tracker filter to the clip.
  • Added the first Size, Position, and Rotation filter, which correctly follows the motion tracker.
  • Added a second Size, Position, and Rotation filter for zooming purposes.

The second filter only stabilizes the horizontal position and does not follow the vertical position of the motion tracker.

You probably do not need this, and it will degrade quality. You can set a size in the first filter and when loading Keyframes from motion tracker tell it to only affect position.

I understand the suggestion to simplify the process by setting the size in the first filter and ensuring that the keyframes from the motion tracker only affect the position. However, I need more detailed steps or clarification on how to implement this effectively.

Hi @satnam173

Assuming that you use the Tracker to do this kind of video, here’s one possible way:

In brief:

  • Load the Keyframes from the Tracker and preview the result
  • Reset the keyframes
  • Zoom the video
  • Reload the keyframes from the Tracker and preview.
  • Repeat until there are no black bars appearing in the video.
