This may be a simple fix I missed.
How to stop timeline window itself from automatically going to spaces (that become highlighted in blue)on the main window? I like to move the timeline window around myself like above, below the main window but it keeps automatically going to and filling in those windows(normal playlist spot, main player spot, export spot) automatically when I hover or get near them. I want to turn that annoying opition off. Must be a simple fix I didn’t notice.
Do you mean this?
Those are independent and customizable layouts (see View > Layout in the menu), each with their own defaults, and do not inherit customization from other layouts (independent). So, if you switch to Player, for example, and do something to make Timeline appear, it appears initially in that layout’s default location, which is at the bottom of the window. Now, you can change where Timeline is for that layout. Basically, you can customize each of these layouts as you see fit. If this is too bothersome for you, then consider not using this layout-switching feature.
