I created a Text Typewriter filter on the timeline. I configured it with a font and size. Then, I copied and pasted it to another part of the same timeline to use the same settings. But when pasting or writing new content into the filter, it inserts strange characters and codes, filling in the new item. I need to close Shotcut and reopen it for it to work again.

I did not reproduce it in version 26.4. Maybe it only happened once for you? A lot of times things only happen once due to some internal corruption during a single session of the application, but we cannot fix that. That is why we ask in the bug template, can you reproduce it? IOW, repeat the information you have provided by reading it as if you are someone else who does not have any context. Probably a sensible workaround is to create a custom preset and use that.
