My workaround or temporary solution is setting the background color alpha value to 1

Do you have Settings > GPU Effects turned on?
If so, this is a duplicate of 2 other reports with a workaround

Nope this is turned off, i have no gpu only igpu

I do not reproduce it using my Flatpak build, and I do not know what yay shotcut installs. More than likely it needs to upgrade MLT to the latest version (released same weekend as Shotcut 23.09 for a reason) as it has a fix for transparent color values getting saved wrong and then interpreted as black exactly as this bug describes:

https://mltframework.org/blog/v7.20.0_released/

For now i im using the transparent alpha value “1” as a workaround

sometimes I forgot to set the workaround and posted the video on public
this is now very annoying, i hope this will fix soon
