Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
Steps to reproduce:
Create new project
Add a Color Timeline (Any color)
Add a Text Timeline
Extend the Text Timeline
Split the Text Timeline
Boom, black background on the 1st text timeline
can be repeat again Step 5
My workaround or temporary solution is setting the background color alpha value to 1
Do you have Settings > GPU Effects turned on?
If so, this is a duplicate of 2 other reports with a workaround
Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon
How to recreate the problem:
I’m creating text:simple (this problem also exists in text:rich), I cut the track into several pieces and change the text in each. During playback, the text changes normally, as it should be. But if I create a path under the text with color, the text will stop changing, the same thing if the project is rendered. This issue is only detected when GPU Effects mode is enabled. I’m posting a video of what I mean. This problem exists in any versi…
Nope this is turned off, i have no gpu only igpu
I do not reproduce it using my Flatpak build, and I do not know what yay shotcut installs. More than likely it needs to upgrade MLT to the latest version (released same weekend as Shotcut 23.09 for a reason) as it has a fix for transparent color values getting saved wrong and then interpreted as black exactly as this bug describes:
For now i im using the transparent alpha value “1” as a workaround
sometimes I forgot to set the workaround and posted the video on public
this is now very annoying, i hope this will fix soon
