Text suddenly does not appear.

Hello,

System: problem present on both Debian Bookworm and Devuan Daedalus (stable)

Shotcut version 22.12.21+ds-2

Problem arise on existing install and persists after full removal and re-installation of shotcut

Just yesterday, I used shotcut to add titles to a video. No problem at all.

Today, when I tried to add text to another video, the #timecode# text, or any text, do not appear.

I’m using simple text, and have tried changing color and fonts.

I don’t know if this is a sudden bug or if I am doing something wrong.

I followed the same steps I used yesterday and haven’t up dated the system at all.

It’s quite baffling.

You attached the filter to the wrong thing. There is nothing on V2 for it to draw onto!

Yes, you’re totally right.

The problem was I was following a Shotcut text tutorial to add the text and then another to fade the text out, and mixed them up, so I was missing a step. My BAD
