Text does not disappear even after using split at play head.
I am a new user and I understand that the split at play head has to be used twice to create a short clip where the text has to appear.
however even after doing so the text does not disappear .

Watch exactly at 3:37, where the selects the 2nd clip. He does it rather quickly but doesn’t verbally tell you he’s selected the clip. Then he removes the filter from the 2nd clip.

You could also split twice, select the center clip, apply text filter. A red box appears around the selected clip in the timeline as a reference for you it’s selected.

This is a great video instructor on Shotcut. His videos really got me interested in the software. Made me understand all of the basic functions of it before I even installed it.

I used the second method where you select the clip !!!
