ALAC is exporting as 24-bit only while the others are defaulting to 16-bit. Ideally, you could add something to Other to force it to use 16-bit, but it is not working due to a technical mismatch between FFmpeg and MLT with respect to indicating planar versus interleaved sample format. I have a change to MLT to better support the ffmpeg “sample_fmt” option for the next version; so, one could add “sample_fmt=s16p” to Other.
