Shotcut itself does not provide a way to burn subtitles automatically onto the video, you have to do this manually (e.g. using the Text: Simple filter). If you want to do this automatically you need to use another application, e.g. Handbrake: HandBrake Documentation — Subtitles.
If you are uploading your video to Youtube or Vimeo, you don’t need to burn your subtitles into the video as these platforms enable you to just upload the SRT itself, see: Add subtitles and captions - YouTube Help and
